Trajan Langdon, born on May 13, 1976, is a former basketball player who currently serves as the general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans.

Langdon went to Steller Secondary School and played for East Anchorage High School. He set a 2,200-point record in Alaska’s 4A league, securing the Alaskan State Player title three times.

The EuroLeague Final Four MVP had his breakthrough in the sport while playing college basketball at Duke University.

Before pursuing a basketball career, Langdon spent a few years playing baseball as the sixth-round pick of the 1994 MLB draft by the San Diego Padres.

Later, Langdon joined the NBA as the Cleveland Cavaliers’ 11th overall pick in the 1999 draft.

After three years, the two-time EuroLeague champion moved to Europe and played with several teams, including Benetton Treviso, Efes Pilsen, and Dynamo Moscow.

The 6-time Russian League champion announced his retirement in June 2011.

Trajan’s sister, Trista Langdon, used to play basketball for Nevada-Reno during her time as a college athlete.

After her NCAA Division I basketball days at Nevada-Reno, Trista briefly shifted, interning with the Charlotte Bobcats via Virginia Commonwealth University’s program.

In 2021, she was named the Senior Vice President of Operations and Guest Experience for the Washington Football Team.
