In a small Ohio town, a youth baseball game turned into a nightmare for one mom.
Lisa Middleton from West Portsmouth shared a wild story on Facebook. Her daughter, Gracie, had faced bullying for over a year. It came from another girl on the opposing team and even some coaches.
Things boiled over during a recent game. Now, the internet is buzzing about it, with the phrase “baseball coach mooned” trending in local chats.
The Bullying That Started It All
According to Lisa’s Facebook post, Gracie, a young pitcher, dealt with constant harassment. The other girl and her coaches picked on her game after game.
Lisa had reported it before to Jimmy Spillman, the league head and a local baseball and softball coach from West Portsmouth, Ohio. Jimmy brushed it off.
He said he didn’t care and warned that any more trouble would get all the girls kicked off the team. Lisa felt ignored, but she hoped things would calm down.
During the game, Gracie threw a pitch that went off course. It hit the girl who had been bullying her.
The girl raised her fist in response. Lisa and others saw it as a threat. Gracie stayed calm, but the tension rose fast.
Lisa went to Jimmy right away to report what happened. She brought another coach as a witness. Before she could speak, Jimmy started yelling.
In the video Lisa shared, you can hear the heated exchange. Jimmy confronted her and asked, “Why do you wanna have a problem every week?“
Lisa shot back, “I don’t. Why do they wanna harass my daughter? If someone threw stuff at your daughter, what would you do?“
Jimmy’s reply shocked everyone. He said, “I will tell my daughter to punch her.“
Things got worse as Lisa tried to leave the field. A group of coaches and parents surrounded her. Jimmy’s wife, Melissa Stilner, who works at the concession stand, joined in.
Melissa confronted Lisa and threatened to smack her. Lisa, fresh from surgery with her arm in a sling, felt scared but stood her ground.
In the video, Lisa says, “It will all be reported.” Melissa lunged as if to hit her, but Jimmy pulled her back. He told Lisa to go home.
Lisa replied, “If we are off the team, we are off the team.” Jimmy said no, but Lisa insisted he would be reported to the district.

Melissa lost her cool. She turned around, pulled down her pants, and mooned Lisa right there in front of the kids.
The baseball coach’s mooning incident left onlookers stunned. Melissa yelled,
“You messed with the wrong person because this person doesn’t care what anybody thinks, about Facebook, about anything. Post it on Facebook. If you don’t, I’ll come find you and ask why you didn’t.”

She dared Lisa to post the video online. She added more threats, saying Lisa had messed with the wrong person.
Gracie tried to apologize to another coach nearby, but the chaos grew. Melissa told Lisa to “better stop” recording.
Other adults stepped in to separate them and stop the fight from getting physical.
So far, there’s no detailed public info from the softball team or Jimmy about the incident. The league hasn’t commented.
This silence has frustrated many parents. Youth sports should be fun and safe, but this shows how adult egos can ruin it.
Bullying in kids’ games is a big problem nationwide. Studies show it affects thousands of young athletes each year, leading to stress and dropouts.
The Video Went Viral on Facebook, Sparking Strong Reactions
People called out the adults for their bad behavior.
Olivia Lima wrote,
“She can go to jail for showing her ass (literally!) Obscene public nudity in front of a minor! Imbecile, pathetic adults!!! ‘I don’t raise my daughter to do that shit’ after he said let your daughter handle it was such a great comeback he didn’t even know what to say after that because it made too much sense. Sucks you have to deal with those hillbillies. Take it all the way to the top officials!.”

Celeste Cheramie said,
“I sure hope you call the police over that heifer that acted like she was going to hit you. If nothing else, you can file assault charges on her. I stg she did that bc she knew you wouldn’t hit her first. I wish a bitch would.”

Robin Lunsford commented, “
“Jeesh. I feel sorry for her daughter. Can you imagine how embarrassing that would be if your mom was carrying on like that? She’s lucky her shirt covered her butt or she’d be even more humiliated.”

Another person added,
“This is disgraceful behavior from an adult that we trust with children and that was in the presence of children literally showing herself publicly! This is so disturbing to me.”

Lisa replied to the comments,
“They all act like this. They was actually proud of their actions. They called the police on me and they were the ones that drew back on me several times and mooned me. I’m glad I started recording because they tried to lie on me. She can’t say anything about me posting it publicly because in the video she clearly gives me permission many times.”

Lisa didn’t stop there. She filed a police report. In an update, she said the cop told her Melissa might get in trouble for the mooning and threats.
Lisa also pointed out how Jimmy allowed the harassment to continue. His whole team, including coaches, targeted Gracie repeatedly.
Lisa wants justice for her daughter and hopes this exposes the issues in local youth leagues.
This story highlights the dark side of youth sports. Parents and coaches should build kids up, not tear them down. Bullying can scar young players for life.
Threats and indecent acts like mooning have no place around children. Many hope the league steps up with rules against this.
