Hunter Pence, an American former professional baseball player, isn’t the father of Striker Pence. Sources have claimed that he is his father, but in reality, he is only his funny uncle.

Striker followed in his uncle’s footsteps and became a standout school athlete renowned for his strong hitting and pitching abilities.

Hunter Andrew Pence, also known as The Reverend, began playing outfield at Arlington High School but moved to shortstop his senior year.

He was a designated hitter on the Texarkana College baseball team but transferred to the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA).

The Milwaukee Brewers drafted him in the 40th round of the 2002 MLB Draft but did not sign. Later, the Houston Astros drafted him in the second round in the 2004 MLB Draft.

On April 28, 2007, Hunter made his major league debut as the Houston Astros center fielder against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Later, he was named a 2011 All-Star as a reserve but traded to the Philadelphia Phillies on July 29, 2011. On July 31, 2012, he was transferred to the San Francisco Giants.

Moreover, he signed a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training with the Texas Rangers in February 2019 but returned to the Giants in February 2020.

He announced his retirement on September 26, 2020, and debuted as a Giants color analyst for NBC Sports Bay Area on July 18, 2021. Later, he joined MLB Network as an analyst in March 2022.

Hunter Pence Is Not The Father of Striker Pence, But A Beloved Uncle

Striker Pence, born in March 2009 in Corona, California, is the son of Allison and Howie Pence.

His parents have been married for 17 years and have built a loving family with their five children: Hayley Jane, Ace, Maverick, Paisley Kaye, and Striker.

The Pence household is full of energy, laughter, and strong family bonds, with each child being a cherished blessing in their parents’ lives.

While some may assume a connection between Striker and former MLB star Hunter Pence, the two are not father and son, but rather uncle and nephew.

Striker affectionately calls Hunter his “FUNcle,” a playful nickname that perfectly captures their fun-filled relationship.

The term “Funcle” was inspired by Hunter himself, thanks to his energetic and loving presence in Striker’s life.

The two share a close bond, bonding over baseball, video games, ping pong, and even surfing together. Striker proudly calls Hunter “the best uncle,” which is a special role he plays in his life.

Happy Birthday to my Funcle ! The word Funcle was made based on him. Not only do we play and talked baseball ,we play video games, ping pong and surf together. Thanks for always wanting to do stuff with us. Hooch hope you have the best birthday and can’t wait to celebrate all our bdays together.
