The Saint Charles community has come together in grief, surrounding the Laskowski family with love, prayers, and heartfelt memories of a young life lost too soon.

Scott Laskowski shared that he lost his son, Jordan Laskowski, whom he called his best friend, on 4 April in a tragic accident.

Jordan was from Saint Charles, Illinois, and he was 14 years old.

The pain Scott was feeling was overwhelming, and he never got to say goodbye to his son.

Jordan, who was passionate about sports and had a kind heart, was part of the STC Blue-Pony Saint Charles Baseball Team and was getting ready to play high school football later this year.

Similarly, former coach Bill Galivan remembered Jordan as a fun, kind, and hard-working young man whom everyone liked.

He said the world feels dimmer without him and sent his condolences to Scott and his family.

I had the good fortune to coach Jordan. He was a fun, kind, hard-working young man and liked by everyone. The world is a little less bright without him. So very sorry for you and your family, Scott Laskowski.

Next, his friend Alphonso Sharting also offered comfort, saying how devastating the loss was.

He told Scott that he was there for him and that Jordan, a great kid and a man, would always stay in his heart.

He reminded Scott that what is eternal stays connected and that everyone would be there to help however they could.

“Devastating. I have your back and Jordan is a great kid and a man, and he will forever be in your heart and with you. For what is eternal will always be connected to its source. We are all here for you and we will all do what we can to help you.”
