Shabazz Muhammad is an American professional basketball player who played for the Shenzhen Aviators of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He was elected in the 2013 NBA draft with the 14th overall pick, and later, he played a single season for UCLA Bruins and college basketball.

He went to Bishop Gorman High School for schooling, and there he got a name from Mr. Basketball USA and Naismith Prep Player of the Year in his senior year. He was also listed on the top-rated college basketball recruits in the class of 2012. He received All-American honors by just one season with UCLA and was named to all the all-conference first team in the Pac-12. Later, he was voted Pac-12 co-Freshman of the Year.
