American baseball pitcher Logan Gilbert’s wife, Aviles Gilbert, graduated from Stetson University with a degree in Psychology.
Logan Gilbert (3-3) allowed two hits and struck out 10 without walking a batter over 6.1 shutout innings to earn the win Tuesday, July 22, 2025, over the Brewers.
He opened with four perfect innings and then retired another seven in a row after Jackson Chourios’s fifth-inning single.
This was arguably Gilbert’s best start of the season and his first quality start since Opening Day versus the Athletics.
He’s still been pretty good, albeit in shorter outings than usual, pitching to a 3.07 ERA, 0.98 WHIP and 98:15 K:BB through 67.1 innings across 13 starts this season.
His next start is projected to be on the road versus the Angels this weekend.

The Seattle Mariners pitcher Logan Gilbert and Aviles started a relationship in April 2018.
Their relationship went public in May 2018 after Aviles shared a photo of Logan on her Instagram handle.
Logan also showcased Aviles on his Instagram handle in June 2018 by posting a picture of them at the Universal Orlando Resort.
The couple engaged in October 2021 at the Grand Hotel and tied the knot on November 13, 2022.
On November 14, 2022, Logan shared a glimpse of their wedding on his social media handle. He captioned,

Aviles Gilbert Rode Horses For Hunt Seat And Western Teams During Her College Years
Aviles Gilbert, 27, was born in 1998 to her parents, Melanie and Eric Champion.
She grew up with her two younger sisters, Alaila Raelynn Champion and Amarige Champion.
Her mother, Melanie, is a former teacher who taught third grade while her father, Eric, worked as a financial advisor at Westshore Financial Group since July 2019.
Aviles was a member of Stetson Equestrian. She rode horses for Hunt Seat and Western teams during her college years.
She graduated with a degree in Psychology from Stetson University.
