Randall Cobb Brother: Who Is Michael Love?

This article was last updated by on

American professional football player Randall Cobb was born to his parents, Randall Sr. and Tina Cobb, in Maryville, Tennessee. Even though he is the only son of his parents together, he has an older brother, Michael Love.

Love is the first child of Tina Cobb from her previous relationship. However, he stayed with his mother and stepdad in Alcoa after she met and married Randall’s father while working at Denso Manufacturing, Tennessee.

Randall and Michael were the biggest competitors growing up, as they were pretty good at football and basketball. However, unlike Randall, his older brother never considered pursuing a professional sports career.

Randall Ladonald Cobb II, better known as Randall Cobb, is an American professional football player who plays as a wide receiver for the New York Jets of the NFL.

He started his professional league journey after the Green Bay Packers chose him as the 64th overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft. Since then, he has already played for several clubs, including Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans, in a career spanning over a decade.

Furthermore, he won a few accolades and honors playing in the NFL, including the 2011 PWFA All-Rookie Team and Pro Bowl game selection in 2014.

Before entering the NFL, Randall played collegiate football for the Kentucky Wildcats for three seasons.

Randall Cobb is the only child of Tennessee residents Randall and Tina Cobb together.

However, the football wide receiver has a half-brother, Michael Love, who grew up together in their home in Maryville, Texas.

Tina gave birth to her oldest son, Michael, when she was still in high school. She was only sixteen then and intended to join college on a sports scholarship, but it all changed after Michael’s birth.

Nevertheless, she finished school and later worked at Denso Manufacturing, a car parts manufacturing company in Tennessee. Being a young mother, it was tough to raise Michael alone, so she later married Randall Cobb Sr., who also worked at the same factory.

Following their marriage, Randall II was born on August 22, 1990.

Michael was already many years older than Randall, but they had a fantastic bond. The older brother instilled a love for sports in Randall, and consequently, he became proficient in basketball and football.

Randall remembers that he always enjoyed practicing games with his older brother, but he liked challenging him more. Still, after so many years, Randall thinks of his big brother as one of his best playmates in childhood and admits his game inspired him.

As of this writing, Michael currently lives in Knoxville, Tennessee, with his partner Bobbie. They together are raising five kids.

Randall Is The Father Of Two Kids

The New York Jets football wide receiver Randall Cobb is the father of two kids with his wife, Aiyda Ghahrahmani. She is a lawyer by profession.

Born in 1989 in New York to Iranian-American couple Bahanor and Shahla, Aiyda met Randall around 2011 when Randall was preparing for his college graduation. However, they started dating only a few years later in 2014.

The couple together has two sons: Caspian and Cade Cobb.
