Trevor Campbell Is In The Early Stages Of Recovery Following A Severe Injury!
Trevor Campbell, class of 2023, is a standout basketball player for Hastings High School in Hastings, Nebraska. Wearing jersey number 1, he plays the point guard (PG) position.
Standing 5’8″ tall and weighing 136 pounds, Trevor has been a key member of both the Hastings Boys Varsity Basketball team and the Boys JV Basketball team from 2020 to 2025.
On Friday night, July 18th, Trevor Campbell, Hastings, Nebraska native, was at a vacation home in Seward.
He was celebrating a joint bachelor and bachelorette party with his fiancée, Hannah Satterly, and close friends and family.
Tragically, Trevor was found unresponsive in the pool. People nearby quickly helped pull him out, and emergency responders arrived to take him to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Doctors found that Trevor had broken his C6 vertebra in his neck, a severe injury.
He was placed on life support, but thankfully, he later woke up. Even in the hospital, Trevor showed he was still himself, joking and talking with loved ones.
Sadly, the injury has left him unable to move from the waist down. Though he is alive and alert, his condition is serious.
He is now beginning what will likely be months of therapy and recovery. The good news is that doctors found no brain damage.
Trevor, who recently started working as a lineman in Red Cloud, and Hannah, who has just passed her exams to become an occupational therapy assistant, were supposed to get married on August 2, 2025, but the wedding is now postponed.
Likewise, they also recently bought a house but hadn’t moved in yet.
Both are only 20 years old and are now facing this unexpected and difficult challenge together.
They are currently unable to work, and their loved ones are seeking prayers and donations to help with medical and daily expenses.
Additionally, there’s an active GoFundMe campaign called “Trevor Strong“, organized by Christina and Bella Satterly (Hannah’s relative) to help support Trevor and Hannah through this journey.
As of now, $31,696 has been raised out of a $50,000 goal through 378 donations.
We extend our prayers for Trevor’s strength, healing, and full recovery during this difficult time.
