NFL player Darius Cooper was born to parents, Jose Williams and Veronica Williams; however, he was brought up by his mother single-handedly alongside his sister Brianna.
Thus far, details surrounding his father remain concealed. Likewise, if his father passed away or his parents separated, all of these are unknown.
Darius Coope was raised by his mother, Veronica Watkins, a devoted Christian who brought him up as a single parent.
Life wasn’t easy for their family. From the outside, their life may have looked easy, but as Veronica herself has shared, it was far from simple.
She has spoken openly about the struggles she faced while raising her children on her own.
On June 30, 2024, Veronica shared a picture with her kids, Brianna and Darius, writing:
From the outside looking in, people would think we had a peachy key life, but it was a struggle being a single Mom…..my God….my main focus was to bring them up in God trusting Him with all I had
Veronica
Even so, she stayed focused on raising he children, relying on her faith in God to guide her through the most challenging times. She thanked God, writing:
God, thank You for the trials and tribulations because they only made us stronger….to God Forever will be the Glory!!
Veronica
Her primary focus was to give her children a sound life despite struggles. Today, that faith and determination have paid off in remarkable ways.

Today, her daughter, Brianna, is a pharmacist, and her son, Darius, is not only a professional football player but also working toward becoming a physical therapist.
Cooper’s sister, Brianna, studied biochemistry at Alcorn State University. She studied pharmacy at Mercer University.
Above all, it was Veronica’s sacrifices and hard work that inspired Darius to want to give her a better life. He has always aimed to make her proud, knowing how much she endured to support him and his siblings.
Hence, it would be fair to say Veronica played an essential role in helping Darius chase his football dreams.
Veronica has been supportive of Darius and Kennedy’s relationship from the very first. On the first anniversary, she took to her Facebook to wish them, writing:
Come on yall, join me in wishing this beautiful couple, The Coopers, the CMiLs Babies, a Happy One Year Anniversary…..when I say a God Blessed Power Couple, that’s what I mean…..to God Be the Glory!!!!!

The most powerful prayer is the one done behind closed doors, just you and God… cause when He answers, according to His Perfect Will for that thang!!!!… baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!…. it’s sweeter than watermelon sold on the side of the highway, off 55 South, on a hot, sunny Missouri day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
