Obi Toppin, the power forward for the Indiana Pacers, has a loving relationship with his fiancée, Magdalena Bellinger, who is the mother of his children and an alumna of George Mason University Women’s Soccer.

Magdalena Bellinger was born to Joe and Cheryl Bellinger on September 16, 1998, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

She grew up alongside her two sisters, Leia and Annalise.

Magdalena was a talented athlete who attended Stafford High School.

She played soccer there, earning All-Conference honors three times and being named one of Potomac Soccer Wire’s Best 11 Players in August 2015.

Her academic achievements were equally impressive; she received the Summa Cum Laude Award during her freshman through junior years and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Magdalena pursued higher education at George Mason University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies, focusing on Pre-Physician Assistants.

While at George Mason, she continued her soccer career as a defender for the university team from 2018 to 2019.

Her dedication earned her spots on the Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll for two consecutive years.

Magdalena And Obi Toppin’s Love Story Began During Their School Days And Blossomed Over Time

In March 2020, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Magdalena confirmed their relationship with a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating Obi’s achievements.

Since then, she has supported Obi steadfastly through the highs and lows of his basketball career.

The couple shares three children. Obi’s eldest son, Daniel Toppin, was born from a previous relationship.

Magdalena loves her role as a loving stepmother to Daniel while also welcoming two children with Obi.

Their first child together, a daughter named Remiel Alise Toppin, was born on September 11, 2021.

The couple announced her arrival on Instagram with the caption: “Our baby girl 🤍 Remiel Alise Toppin 9.11.21.”

Their second child, a son named Oziah Amir Toppin, was born on October 3, 2024, which was also announced through Instagram.

Magdalena often shares photos of their family on social media, capturing moments from vacations, holidays, and game days.

In January 2025, Obi proposed to Magdalena in Paris during the NBA Paris Games week.

He had been planning this special moment for almost a year. When he finally asked her to marry him with a romantic proposal, marking a new beginning in their relationship.

He felt a mix of excitement and nerves; Obi shared his excitement,

“I wasn’t really nervous until I opened the door to the room right before I was gonna do it, But it wasn’t really a lot of nerves because I love her a lot and it was just meant to be.”

Toppin’s journey in professional basketball began when the New York Knicks drafted him as the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
