“I went to see him several times while he was in Tyler. We talked about football and track because basketball wasn’t his favorite. I sat and held his hand while ‘we’ talked. He couldn’t really talk, but he’d squeeze my hand, nod, or shake his head. I watched a nurse pray over him, and I’ve prayed almost every day for God to heal him. My heart hurts, but I know he isn’t suffering anymore.”
