Moriah Jefferson, the talented WNBA player, has supportive parents named Robin and Lorenza Jefferson.

They have significantly influenced her life and have played an integral role in her personal and professional development.

After being drafted into the WNBA by San Antonio Stars in 2016, Moriah has made a name for herself in the basketball world. 

She was born on March 8, 1994, and currently plays for the Phoenix Mercury.

Moriah played college basketball for the University of Connecticut and won four consecutive national championships.

She went on to finish college, being first in assists and steals. 

Additionally, Moriah has also managed to win the Nancy Lieberman Award. 

She has played for several other teams, including the Dallas Wings of the WNBA and Galatasaray in Turkey. 

Jefferson is also part of the Adidas “Sport Needs Creators,” which has featured other stars like James Harden, Paul Pogba, and others.

Born in Dallas, Texas, the cultural and commercial hub of the region, Moriah had a terrific childhood growing up. 

She was born to Robin and Lorenza Jefferson and has three siblings brothers Joshua, Jeremiah, and sister Danielle Noble. 

The Jeffersons are Christian and follow the faith strictly. 

The family likes to keep their personal life private and has not shared much information.

However, it is known that Moriah was home-schooled and then took classes at Cedar Valley College, which obviously made her parents worry about her transition.

She trained in a residential neighborhood in East Fort Worth.

Phoenix Mercury

Moriah Jefferson signed with the Mercury on February 13, 2023.

Moriah replacing Skylar Diggins-Smith, will be looking to become the team’s facilitator.

Diana Lorena Taurasi, who also plays for the Mercury, is very aware of Moriah’s skills and is excited to play together. 

Jefferson will undoubtedly bring a lot to the table for the Phoenix.
