Atlanta Braves former star David Justice was born to parents, Robert Justice and Nettie Justice, on April 14, 1966, in Cincinnati, Ohio.
David Justice grew up in a working-class African American family, raised by his parents.
He is African American, and both of his parents share the same heritage.
His father, Robert, worked as a security guard, and his mother, Nettie, worked as a housekeeper and caterer. His life at hime wasn’t always easy.
When David was just about four years old, his father left the family. The two never built a close bond, and their few meetings over the years were polite but distant.
This left much of the responsibility of raising David to his mother, who worked hard to provide for him and supported his love for sports. Even without his father’s presence, David thrived.
His mother’s encouragement and determination helped him pursue baseball, eventually leading to a standout career that included Rookie of the Year honors in 1990 and three All-Star selections.
