Kris received recognition for his outstanding performance during his final year with the Hawkeyes, which led to him being awarded first-team All-Big Ten honors.

He played 77 games, starting 30 of them, and averaged 12.1 points for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Twin Brother Separation

It’s not accurate to say that the twin brothers had a separation, as they have always supported each other since birth.

They attended the same school and played basketball together. They were strongly connected and relied on each other, always playing as a team.

However, as life went on, they eventually took different paths. After Keegan’s sophomore year, he declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, forgoing his college eligibility.

On the other hand, his twin brother Kris Murray withdrew his name from the draft and further played one more season for the Hawkeyes.

The separation between Keegan and Kris Murray played a significant role in their individual growth, but it also presented its own set of challenges.

During an interview, Kris expressed how strange it felt to be separated from his twin brother during the first few weeks, especially on the court.

Even though their basketball careers took them in different directions, their bond as brothers remains strong, and they continue to support and encourage each other in their journeys.

Kris And Keegan Murray’s Parents

Twin brothers were born on August 19, 2000, to their parents Kenyon and Michelle Murray.
