During his collegiate career with Oregon, the quarterback won the 2019 Pac-12 Championship and was named MVP of the Rose Bowl in 2020.

Additionally, the Chargers drafted Justin in the 2020 NFL Draft as the sixth overall pick.

Herbert was named the Bolts starting quarterback in his second game for the team.

In his rookie season, he made records for the most touchdown passes and the most 300-yard games, earning him the AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Justin Herbert Sister

Fans are curious if the Bolts quarterback has a sister, but unfortunately, he only has two brothers.

Justin’s parents, Mark and Holly, raised three kids; Justin, Mitchell and Patrick Herbert.

Mark also played football and ran track at the University of Montana. It looks like football is in their genes.

Mitchell Herbert was born as the eldest child on April 21, 1996. He completed high school at Sheldon High and committed to playing at Montana State for his collegiate years.

Playing as a member of the Bobcat football team, the wide receiver led his team with 26 catches, 476 receiving yards, and three touchdown catches in 2016.

The youngest Herbert, Patrick, plays as a tight end for the Oregon Ducks football. After the injury to Terrance Ferguson, young Herbert is now No. 1 on the tight end depth chart.

The collegiate tight end completed his high school at Sheldon High School as a four-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports.

During high school, Herbert led his team to a Southwest Conference championship and received varsity letters in three different years.

Justin Herbert Tops Other Elite

The 27-year-old quarterback is entering his fourth year in the league.

He has shown his consistency and prowess on the field in his three years. Among the 31 active NFL QBs who have played 50+ games, Herbert is the only one who has never thrown 3+ interceptions in a game.

He also has recorded 14,089 passing yards, the highest any player has amassed in their first three seasons in the NFL.

These stats put him alongside elite players like Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, etc.

In 49 games, the Bolts quarterback has thrown only 35 interceptions, which is a 1.8 percent interception rate, the fifth lowest in the NFL.

Herbert saw Lamar Jackson’s $260 million with a $185 million guaranteed deal with the Ravens and must have wished for a similar lucrative extension.

However, the Chargers exercised a $29.504 million option for 2024 on April 28, 2023.
