Jimmie Ward’s parents supported his athletic career, and he plays football as a safety for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL).

The San Francisco 49ers selected him in the first round with the 30th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.

NFL veteran Jimmie Ward is back in jail for the second time this summer after being arrested in June for allegedly assaulting and strangling his fiancée.

According to his attorney, Steve Jackson, Montgomery County (Texas) police took him into custody for violating the conditions of his release by consuming alcohol.

He was picked up on an outstanding warrant, and the listing did not specify new charges.

Jackson clarified that this was not a new arrest but a consequence of Ward testing positive for alcohol, a direct violation of his pretrial release terms.

Ward was initially arrested in June on a third-degree felony assault charge following allegations of domestic violence by his fiancée.

Reports indicated that she accused him of assault and strangulation, leading to an emergency protective order on her behalf.

Jackson stated that he plans to present a grand jury packet on August 31 in hopes of getting the case dismissed.

Jimmie Ward’s Parents Are The Unsung Heroes Behind His Rise To Glory

James Ward, the son of Derrick Daniels and Torcivia Daniels, was born on July 18, 1991, in Racine, Wisconsin.

While the football safety has kept much of his personal life private, including details about his family, it’s clear that his parents played a crucial role in shaping his journey to professional football.

Though not much is publicly known about Derrick and Torcivia, reports suggest that Ward may be their only child.

Despite the lack of extensive media coverage, their unwavering support for their son has been evident throughout his career.

Derrick and Torcivia have been his biggest fans from his early days in youth football to his standout college career at Northern Illinois University and his eventual rise in the NFL.

The proud parents are often seen cheering for him in the stands, whether during his time with the San Francisco 49ers or his current team.

Their presence at games highlights the strong family bond that has undoubtedly contributed to his resilience and success on the field.

Nonetheless, Ward’s parents have been instrumental in his journey, providing the love and encouragement that helped him become an NFL star.

Jimmie Ward’s Heartfelt Gift for His Mother on Her Special Day

Jimmie Ward showed where his true priorities lie on one of the biggest days of his life when being selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Instead of celebrating solely for himself, he drove three hours to New Orleans to buy his mother a special birthday gift, which was a brand-new purse.

Ward couldn’t always afford extravagant presents for his mom while growing up.

I never really bought her anything expensive because you’re a kid. Growing up, you would write a card, color a card, or buy a card or simple flowers. That’s the most I ever did.

But with his first NFL contract on the horizon, he wanted to do something meaningful.

He knew his mother loved purses, so he made the trip to pick out the perfect one. The cost didn’t matter to him, and it was all about making his mom smile.

His selfless act speaks volumes about his character.

It really didn’t matter how much it cost, you just wanted to see that smile. I’m not a selfish person. I just like to see and make other people smile too. It makes me feel better as a person.
