Shawn Teague, born to the late John T. Teague Sr. and Ann Teague in Anderson, Indiana, showcased his exceptional basketball skills while playing at both high school and college levels.
Jeff Teague’s father, Shawn, standing at a towering height of 6’2” played college basketball at the University of Missouri and later at Boston University as a point guard.
He began his collegiate career with Missouri in the 1980-81 season, where he appeared in 32 games, starting 20, and averaged 3.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game while shooting 41.8% from the field.
After sitting out the 1981-82 season due to transfer rules, Shawn resumed his career at Boston University, where he played three seasons and earned All-ECACN honors twice.
In his sophomore year (1982-83), at Boston, he started 28 games, averaging 9.7 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per game.
Similarly, in his senior season (1984-85), Shawn Teague capped his career with averages of 10.6 points, 7.2 assists, and 3.2 rebounds, shooting 44.5% from the field and 86.2% from the free-throw line.
Prior to his collegiate career, Shawn Teague played at Anderson High School, which reached the state championship game in 1979.
Shawn also served as Jeff and his siblings’ first basketball coach and currently works at HealthPro/Heritage.
He also serves as the chief financial officer for The Factory Indy, a three-court basketball facility established by Jeff Teague and his family in 2017 to provide training to children.

Her late brother, Jeff’s maternal uncle, William Cornell Davis, was a champion purple belt and kickboxer. William passed away on January 21, 2023, at the age of 65.
