Bryson Matthew Saddoris, a native of Illinois and standout baseball player, passed away at an untimely age of 21 on Monday, July 28, 2025.
The gifted left-handed pitcher, Bryson Mathew Saddoris, lost his life as a result of a homicide; however, the motive behind the brutal homicide is not yet available.
According to reports, the Macomb Police Department was made aware of an alleged homicide that had occurred in the 600 block of North Randolph.
Upon investigation, a deceased male was located who was later identified as Bryson Saddoris.
Similarly, the Macomb Police Department detained two suspects, Sean Hayes,37, and Morgan Bearce, 24, both of Macomb.
Hayes and Bearce were both formally charged with First Degree Murder and Obstructing Justice by the McDonough County State’s Attorney’s Office and are now housed at the McDonough County Jail.
The Macomb Police Department has requested that people with any information related to the case come forward.
Furthermore, the untimely death of Bryson Saddoris has left a profound void in the lives of his friends, family, and loved ones.
Bryson was an amazing athlete playing multiple sports, including basketball, baseball, and skateboarding.
Many of his loved ones are recalling the memories of late Bryson and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Bryson Saddoris was not just an amazing athlete but also a great son to his parents. He was born on May 20, 2004, in Galesburg, Illinois, to Matthew ‘Matt’ Alan Saddoris and Carrie Diane Simpson.
While Matthew and Carrie haven’t said much about their son’s untimely passing as they are currently grieving, they often share pictures of late Bryson on social media, expressing their love and pride for him.
Bryson Saddoris was also an amazing brother to his six siblings, Jacob Phillips, Cole Rockhold, Illiana Saddoris, Conner Corman, Oden Hill, and Aleecia Saddoris.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Bryson Saddoris leaves behind his step-mother, Deanne Saddori of Little York, Illinois, his paternal grandparents, Earl and Myrna Saddoris, and his maternal grandparents, Kelly Simpson and Cynthia (Hiro) Sato, paternal great-grandmother, Hazel Ziegenhorn, and maternal step great-grandmother, Teresa Faught.
Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb has accorded cremation rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family via GoFundMe. The fundraiser’s goal is to collect $5.5k, and to date, around $1,130 has been raised.
Bryson Saddoris’s exceptional sports journey and his cheerful nature will always be remembered.
