Caroline Hjelle, a former sports broadcaster and now a devoted mother of two, has been in the public eye recently due to personal challenges in her marriage to MLB pitcher Sean Hjelle.

Through it all, her parents, John Edward Zukowsky and Ronda Kimble Zukowsky, have been her rock, providing unwavering love and support.

Caroline Kimble Zukowsky, born 28 years ago, grew up in Henrico County, Virginia, alongside her sister, Meghan.

Raised by John and Ronda Zukowsky, Caroline enjoyed a childhood filled with encouragement and active parental involvement.

Her parents were always there, cheering her on at swim meets and tennis matches, establishing in her a love for sports from a young age.

Caroline often shares heartfelt tributes to her parents on social media, showing their connection.

These posts show a family rooted in love, support, and shared memories.

Caroline’s Life Is Clearly Shaped By The Enduring Influence Of Her Parents

While little public information is available about John Zukowsky, his presence in Caroline’s life is undeniable.

As a dedicated father, he attended every tennis match and swim meet, earning a special place in her heart as her “go-to for sports talk.”

His quiet but steadfast support has been a cornerstone of Caroline’s journey.

Ronda Kimble Zukowsky, on the other hand, is a well-known figure in her community.

A graduate of Lexington High School, Ronda earned a B.S. in Business and an M.S. in Education from West Virginia University.

Her career shows her passion for education and service. She worked as a compensation analyst for Wheat First Securities and taught high school in Henrico County before becoming a substitute teacher.

According to GRASP (Great Aspirations Scholarship Program), Ronda has been a licensed teacher for years and enjoys substituting while volunteering in her community.

She has served on PTA boards, homeowners’ associations, and church education committees, embodying a spirit of giving back.

For over seven years, Ronda has been a GRASP advisor, helping students and parents navigate the financial aid process for post-secondary education.

Her dedication to education and community service has influenced Caroline’s values and resilience.

Caroline often expresses her love for her mother on social media, highlighting the strong connection they share.

On Mother’s Day, she posted on Instagram, calling her mom, Ronda, her “best friend and biggest supporter.” She wrote

Caroline’s Journey, From Sports To Broadcasting To Motherhood

Caroline’s upbringing in Henrico County and her education in local schools laid the foundation for her achievements.

An active athlete, she played tennis and swam competitively, sports that shaped her discipline and competitive spirit.

She went on to study at the University of Virginia, graduating with a degree in 2018.

During her college years, Caroline discovered her passion for sports broadcasting, a field where she quickly made her mark.

Her big break came with ACC Network Extra, a broadcast produced in collaboration with ESPN.

Just weeks after starting behind the scenes, Caroline found herself in front of the camera, holding an ESPN microphone as a color commentator for a volleyball match.

Her talent and charisma led to roles as a TV sports presenter for ESPN and ABC, including work with ABC 13.

Caroline’s career was thriving, but her life took a new direction after meeting Sean Hjelle.

Their romance blossomed, leading to a beautiful wedding on January 16, 2021.

Together, they welcomed two sons, George and Emmett, and Caroline embraced her role as a full-time mother and supportive wife.

She stepped away from her broadcasting career to focus on her family, documenting her life as a mom on TikTok, where she has over 39,600 followers, and Instagram, with more than 1,000 followers.

Her parents, John and Ronda, have been there every step of the way, from celebrating her achievements as a broadcaster to supporting her as a mother.

Their presence has been a constant source of strength, especially during recent challenges in Caroline’s marriage.

In June 2025, Caroline’s life took a difficult turn when she and Sean separated.

In April, she posted a TikTok video captioned, “Solo Mom of Two 7 FT boys afternoon in our life,” hinting at her new reality as a single mother.

In a following post on Saturday, Caroline made serious allegations against Sean, claiming he “abandons us on Mother’s Day … once I finally found out about his affairs and stopped putting up with his abuse, so I’ve been raising two boys alone.”

The video went viral, drawing widespread attention, but Carolina has archived the video for now.

The San Francisco Giants, Sean’s team, responded with a statement:

“We are aware of these serious allegations. We have been in contact with MLB. These type of allegations fall under their jurisdiction, and we won’t be commenting further.”

Sean addressed the accusations publicly for the first time, saying,

“I don’t have an official comment right now, I would like to talk to my agent, my lawyer. This has been something that has been going on for over a year now in terms of our relationship, our divorce, our separation and everything. .. I’m just taking it in stride right now. No official comment right now. I feel confident saying that I will have one eventually.”

As Caroline faces this challenging chapter, her parents remain her pillar of support.

John and Ronda’s love and guidance continue to help her face the delays of single motherhood and public scrutiny.

As she continues to raise her two boys and chart her path forward, Caroline knows she’s not alone—her parents are right there, cheering her on, just as they always have been.
