Deanna Favre’s parents, her mother Ann Tynes and her stepfather, Kerry Tynes, who have been significant in her life, maintain a low profile away from the public eye.

Her mother, Ann, raised Deanna in the small town of Kiln, Mississippi, where she grew up with her siblings, a sister named Christie, and a brother named Casey.

Although not much is known about Ann, she undoubtedly played a significant part in Deanna’s life, as she faced challenges as a single mother raising two kids.

Later, after her stepfather came into the scene, the burden for her mother lessened. After marrying her mother, Ann, Kerry adopted Deanna, giving her the last name Tynes.

Deanna remains tight-lipped about her family and parents, staying away from the prying eyes of the media. Hence, intricate details about them aren’t available.

Although she doesn’t frequently mention her parents in public interviews or on social media platforms, she has acknowledged their support in some instances.

Deanna Tynes Acknowledges Her Family’s Support!

The respected author Deanna became pregnant at 19 and gave birth to her and Brett Favre’s daughter, Brittany Nicole, on February 6, 1989.

As a single mother, she balanced raising Brittany, working various jobs, including at a collection agency, and pursuing her education.

In her autobiography, Don’t Bet Against Me: Beating the Odds Against Breast Cancer and in Life (published October 2007), Deanna credits her family’s support for helping her through this challenging period.

Likewise, during her breast cancer diagnosis, her family played a vital role in finding the silver lining amid the ordeal.

In October 2004, just days after the tragic loss of her brother Casey, Deanna was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 35.

This was a devastating period for her family, but Deanna has publicly recognized the role her family played in supporting her through her treatment, which included a lumpectomy and five months of chemotherapy.

In an interview with Guideposts, Deanna spoke about how her family, including her parents, rallied around her during this time.

In her book, she further reveals how her family’s encouragement helped her stay strong.

Though she rarely speaks about her personal life, she is nothing but grateful to the support and love showered on her from her family.
