On December 5, 2024, Dr. Lucille O’Neal, the mother of basketball icon Shaquille O’Neal, brought humor and charm on the special holiday episode of Celebrity Family Feud.

Team Shaq joined the competition for one cause: to help the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation’s initiative to uplift today’s underserved youth.

Whereas the initial price was supposed to be $25,000, Steve Harvey surprised Lucille and her team; this time, they will play for $50,000.

The best part of the episode had to be the “Fast Money Round,” where Lucille had 20 seconds to answer five survey questions.

Her responses were quick, witty, and heartfelt, instantly winning over the audience.

The questions ranged from “What’s the last thing you say to your spouse before falling asleep?

The questions ranged from “What’s the last thing you say to your spouse before falling asleep?,” to which she sweetly responded, “I love you,” to “Give me a word that rhymes with turkey,” to which she jokingly responded, “Jerky.”

Lucille scored an impressive 182 points, leaving only 18 more to hit the 200-point goal needed to win the game.

With little pressure, Shaquille O’Neal took the stage to finish the round.

Steve Harvey added some humor to that moment when he playfully warned Shaq that not getting those remaining points would make him the dumbest person ever to play Fast Money. That said it all for this hilarious performance.

Shaq answered each question confidently, even humorously suggesting “Charles Barkley” as his answer to the word that rhymes with “turkey.”

His efforts brought their final score to 265 points, securing the $50,000 prize for the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation.

In addition to the $50,000 raised for Shaq’s foundation, Steve Harvey announced another $25,000 donation to the Move-In Day Mafia Fund.

This surprise contribution added even more heart to the already impactful episode.

Shaquille O’Neal Founded A Foundation To Empower Underserved Youth

The Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, founded in 2019, provides opportunities for underserved youth to reach their full potential.

The funds raised during this episode will further help the Foundation’s mission of instilling hope and affecting change in several communities.

Dr. Lucille O’Neal’s appearance on the show highlighted her quick wit, intelligence, and philanthropic spirit.

As the matriarch of the O’Neal family, Lucille has always been a source of strength and inspiration to her family and the wider community.

Her partnership with her son Shaq on this episode showcased their commitment to giving back, making this holiday special, entertaining, and deeply meaningful.

The unforgettable moment of Celebrity Family Feud delighted audiences and underlined the significance of family, humor, and giving during the holiday season.
