Cannon Smith, former Memphis Tigers quarterback and owner of Arctic Energy RLE, and his longtime wife, actress and entrepreneur Collins Tuohy, are soon to become parents.

Cannon Smith’s wife, Collins Tuohy Smith, announced her pregnancy in April 2025 on her official Instagram account.

She shared several sweet pictures of the couple along with an ultrasound image of their soon-to-be-born son, captioned: ‘Baby Smith joining us this fall!!! 🤍‘

While Cannon Smith is excited to welcome a son with his longtime wife, Collins Tuohy, he recently faced the tragedy of losing his father, Fred Smith, former minority owner of the Washington NFL franchise and founder of FedEx Corp.

The renowned business magnate and investor, Fred Smith, passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.

Although the late Fred Smith will not be able to witness the birth of his grandson, his legacy and blessings will always remain in the lives of his youngest son, Cannon Smith, and daughter-in-law, Collins Tuohy, as well as in the life of his soon-to-be-born grandson.

Cannon Smith’s longtime wife, Collins Tuohy Smith, shared several posts on her Instagram stories to pay tribute to her late father-in-law, Fred Smith.

Furthermore, Cannon Smith and Collins Tuohy have been happily married for almost a decade. The couple tied the knot on April 22, 2016, in their hometown, Tennessee.

Raised in the same neighborhood, Cannon Smith and his longtime wife, Collins Tuohy, have known each other forever. They began dating in 2005 when Cannon asked Collins out on a date at the ‘Cookie Party.’

In a recent Instagram post, Collins shared an old picture of the couple and revealed that the date marks their first anniversary. She wrote, “Happy 20th anniversary!! #firstdate Love you more every day! Can’t wait for what 2025 has in store for us!“

The couple has always been each other’s constant supporters through all the good and bad times.

Cannon Smith’s Wife, Collins Tuohy, Is A Former Standout Athlete

Both Cannon Smith and his longtime wife, Collins Tuohy Smith, showcased their amazing athletic skills while attending college.

While Cannon Smith was the exceptional quarterback playing for the University of Memphis’s men’s football team, Collins Tuohy Smith was an amazing student-athlete at the University of Mississippi.

Collins Tuohy, born on December 29, 1986, to Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, is a former cheerleader and Tennessee state champion pole vaulter at the University of Mississippi, her parents’ alma mater.

In addition to being a standout athlete, Collins Tuohy was the president of the Student Alumni Council, president of the Student Spirit Committee, and an officer in Kappa Delta Sorority.

Earning her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism, Collins served as a broadcaster for the Memphis Grizzlies NBA team.

Prior to the University of Mississippi, Collins was a student-athlete at Briarcrest Christian School.

Likewise, Collins is currently excelling in her career as a businesswoman and is a co-owner of Whimsy Cookie Company, which has been selling custom-order decorative sugar cookies since 2012.

She is also on the board of her parents’ The Making It Happen Foundation and has appeared as an actress in the 2019 movie The Highwaymen, the TV series Family Addition with Leigh Anne Tuohy, and on Fox and Friends.

Her story inspired the sports dramedy “The Blind Side,” which earned Sandra Bullock an Oscar.
