This article was last updated by on

Late American professional football player Dwayne Haskins did almost everything he wanted before his untimely demise in 2022. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was already married to his wife, Kalabrya Gondrezick, at the time of his death.

Despite their tumultuous relationship, involving fights and domestic violence cases, the two never went to court for divorce. Dwayne loved Kalabrya with all his heart, and Kalabrya did the same.

Unfortunately, their relationship suddenly ended in the worst way imaginable.

Following his death, the Steelers shared her statement on their Twitter handle, where she expressed love for Dwayne, saying he would be the love of her life forever.

Born to a devout Christian family in New Jersey, Dwayne Haskins spent his early years in Maryland, where he attended Bullis School.

Apart from studies, he liked playing football and was part of his high school team from 2013 to 2016.

After graduating, he was interested in enrolling at the University of Maryland. Instead, he attended Ohio State University as Maryland fired his preferred coach Randy Edsall before he joined them.

Following his successful three years collegiate career, Dwayne entered the professional football arena as the Washington Redskins’ 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft.

Dwayne Haskins Wife Kalabrya Remembers Late QB

Last year on April 9, the Pittsburgh Steelers QB Dwayne Haskins died in an accident while he was trying to cross the street near Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Just before that, he had called his wife, Kalabrya, telling her he was heading towards a local gas station to get some gasoline. Sadly, it was their last conversation before his tragic demise.

Kalabrya Gondrezick was born to her parents, Grant and Lisa Harvey-Gondrezick, in Michigan, United States, on December 18, 1995.

Her dad, Grant, and her uncle, Glen, were former NBA players. Similarly, her mom, Lisa, was a Louisiana Tech’s 1988 NCAA champion team member.

Born to a family with broad athletic backgrounds, Kalabrya and her siblings participated in sports activities from a tender age.

Growing up in Michigan, she attended Benton Harbor High School, where her mom was her basketball coach.

After graduating, she joined Michigan State University, where she played basketball alongside studying marketing, apparel, and textile design.

Moreover, she tied the knot with Dwayne Haskins on March 19, 2021. Even though they could not spend much time after the marriage, Kalabrya shared many unforgettable moments with her husband.

The two liked hanging out with each other during his vacations, and they frequently posted pictures of them together on their Instagram accounts.

A year has gone by, but Kalabrya still misses him and posts about him often on her social media handle.

On May 4, 2023, she posted a picture with the caption, “True Love never dies. Your energy will live inside me forever. Te Amo Papi. We’re going always to be together.”

The West Virginia University graduate started her professional WNBA career as the 4th overall pick of the Indiana Fever in the 2021 draft.

Unfortunately, the club released her after her debut season as she failed to live up to her expectation.

Later, she joined the Chicago Sky for the 2022 training camp but was waived on May 4, 2022.
