Marv Levy Recently Celebrated His 100th Birthday
The former NFL coach, Marv Levy, recently turned 100 on August 3, 2025.
A day prior to his 100th birthday, the legendary coach was celebrated at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2025 Enshrinement ceremony at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on August 2.
Furthermore, the ceremony turned extra special when the crowd joined Hall of Fame legends in singing “Happy Birthday” to Marv Levy.
Wearing his gold jacket, Levy smiled and waved to the fans and more than 110 returning Hall of Famers as they honored his birthday.
While Marv Levy didn’t say anything, Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas spoke on his behalf, calling Levy not only a great coach but also a mentor who taught players about family, friendship, and community.
“I never came across a guy who played for Marv and didn’t like him, Marv didn’t just teach us football. He taught us to become better friends, better family men, better members of our community.I love you coach. Happy birthday.”

Despite facing serious health challenges, Levy has gracefully and bravely reached 100 years. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 1995 but successfully overcame it after surgery.
