"I'll put it this way: JT thought he had to come check on me in the bunker."

Brooks has announced his 125th U.S. Open, but he hasn’t felt like himself in recent months.
He slipped to No. 98 in Data Golf’s rankings and hasn’t finished better than T-17 on the 54-player circuit while trunk-slamming at Augusta National and Quail Hollow.
He admits to being into some bad habits and bad swing positions.
Brooks didn’t play the golf course the first two days of practice at last week’s LIV Golf Virginia event. He opted for the practice and sat on the range.
When everything started to make sense for him, his coach scolded him pretty well to bring him back into shape.
Pete has used the same tactics in the past ahead of the 2017 U.S. Open. He told the champion to stop whining about his putting following last year’s Masters.
It’s nice to put a good round together. It’s been a while. I’ve been working hard, just got into some bad habits and bad swing positions. Pete got into me on Monday, in the bunker for about 45 minutes. I just sat there, and he scolded me pretty well.

I lost both of my grandfathers to cancer at an early age, and I was raising money for Relay for Life with my grandmother to benefit the American Cancer Society.
