Brandon Woodruff, an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers, has been married to Jonie Woodruff since November 7, 2015.

They have two children, Kyler Alise Woodruff and Bowen Blake Woodruff.

The Texas Rangers drafted Brandon in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Wheeler High School.

However, he didn’t sign with the Rangers and continued playing college baseball for Mississippi State University.

After his junior year, the Milwaukee Brewers selected him in the 11th round of the 2014 MLB Draft, and he made his professional debut with the Helena Brewers.

Brandon made a triumphant return to the mound, delivering a dominant performance in his first start since 2023. He tossed six strong innings facing the Miami Marlins, allowing just two hits and one run while striking out eight in a 4-1 Brewers victory.

His journey back to the MLB hasn’t been smooth. After missing four months in 2023 with a right shoulder injury, he returned late in the season only to be shut down before the playoffs.

He sat out the entire 2024 campaign due to lingering shoulder issues and multiple rehab setbacks.

During his first rehab stint, he experienced tendinitis in his right ankle, and after recovering, a line drive then hit him in another outing.

It’s just getting back into a routine and hopefully continue to stay healthy. I know if I can do that, I will figure out how to get guys out at a high level again. It’s just a matter of consistency, and that’s it. But getting here and knowing that I’m going to pitch again in the Major Leagues is exciting. It’s been a long time.

Despite the demands of Brandon’s baseball career and her nursing profession, they prioritize family time and often share glimpses of their personal life with fans.

While the MLB star shines on the mound, Jonie plays a crucial role behind the scenes as both a healthcare worker and a pillar of support for her husband.

Her career as a critical care nurse highlights her compassion and resilience, qualities that undoubtedly strengthen their marriage.

Nonetheless, as Brandon continues his MLB journey, Jonie remains his biggest fan, proving that their bond is as strong as ever.

Happy birthday to my beautiful wife! Thank you for everything you do! Love you!

Brandon Woodruff and Jonie Green Help Build Habitat Home for Local Mom

The Brewers Community Foundation and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation partnered with Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity to help first-time homebuyer Hsa Yu achieve her dream of homeownership.

Brandon, alongside his wife Jonie Green and their daughter Kyler, joined volunteers and the Famous Racing Sausages for the construction of Hsa Yu’s new home in Harambee.

Habitat for Humanity helps families overcome barriers to homeownership, particularly for local families who face the challenge of soaring housing costs.

Milwaukee Habitat makes homeownership affordable through partnerships with organizations like BCF and Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation.

Moreover, future homeowners contribute to building their houses and pay manageable mortgages averaging $600-$900 per month.

As a parent, I appreciate how important it is to have a stable place to call home. The work that Habitat is doing to help moms like Hsa Yu become a homeowner is vital, and I’m grateful to be a part of it.

BCF Executive Director Cecelia Gore and Fairway representatives joined community volunteers at the build site, where Hsa Yu’s home is one of nine new Habitat houses being constructed on the same block.
