Born on September 24, 2001, Will, 6 feet 5 inches tall (1.96 m), is a collegiate football quarterback at Ohio State Buckeyes (2024- present).

It’s been home to NFL players like Paris Johnson, Jeff Okudah, JK Dobbins, Ezekiel Elliott, and Joey Bosa.

Howard joined Ohio State University in January 2024 as a senior-year transfer from Kansas State University (2020-23).

There, he won the 2023 Pop-Tarts Bowl (against NC State) but lost the 2022 Sugar Bowl to the Crimson Tide.

A three-star recruit from Downingtown West High School, the quarterback played alongside Skylar Thompson at the Kentucky State Wildcats.

With the Wildcats, he made 458 pass completions for 5,786 yards & 48 touchdowns while rushing 921 yards for 19 touchdowns.

The American college football star was born to white American parents, Bob and Maureen King Howard, in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

His father, whose actual name is Robert “Bob” Howard, is an alum of Penn State University, along with his brother (Will’s uncle), Tedd Howard.

Born on April 30, 1964, Bob is 61 years old as of 2025. On the other hand, his mother, Maureen, born on December 31, 1970, is six years younger than Will’s dad and is 54 now.

While nothing much on the current profession of Howard’s father is out, the Ohio State quarterback’s mom is a pediatric physical therapist.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Delaware and obtained her master’s degree in physical therapy from Temple University.

Moreover, Maureen is an active social worker & has associations with many non-profits like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In 2019, she won the Blue Hen 17&43 Awards from her alma mater, Delaware.

Will’s Father And Mother Ran A Sleepsuit Business

When Howard was born, he had difficulty sleeping, so his mom, Maureen, made a sleepsuit for him. Later, she made sleepsuits for her other three kids and then for her friends & neighbors.

So, she & her husband, Bob, brought their passion to the market and launched “Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit” in 2008. After over a decade of business, they sold the company in 2021.

Will Howard’s Siblings: Who Are His Brother And Sister?

The Pennsylvania native college football star Will Howard is the oldest of four children.

He has two younger sisters, Tori (b. June 10, 2003) & Grace (b. 2009), and a younger brother, Ryan (b. June 8, 2005).

Victoria “Tori” Howard, the second-eldest of Howard siblings, graduated from Downingtown West High School in 2021. She is a 2025 class of Penn State University, where she competes in swimming & is pursuing a degree in rehabilitation and human service.

Will’s younger brother, Ryan, graduated from Downingtown West High in 2024. Subsequently, he joined the Kentucky State Wildcats, where he committed in 2023, and now plays football as a freshman.

Ryan, with a height of 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) & weighing 315 lbs, is the team’s offensive lineman.

On the other, the youngest sibling, Grace, is a middle school student.
