Several Twitter fans have urged the Atlanta Braves’ manager, Brian Snitker, to be fired following a recent loss against the Washington Nationals.

Bryan Snitker and his Atlanta Braves team lost to the Washington Nationals 5-4 on Wednesday, May 14, 2025.

Before the match, the Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr expressed his gratitude for being able to clear the air with manager Brian Snitker. He said,

“That was just a moment of frustration for me,”  “Thankfully, I was able to apologize to Snit. I was in the wrong. I shouldn’t have done that. But thankfully, I was able to apologize to Snit to his face, to apologize to my teammates. We’re just turning the page and moving on.”

However, Bryan Snitker didn’t address it during or after the game. “Was I supposed to?” Snitker said when asked if he spoke to Jarred Kelenic.

When MLB.com’s Mark Bowman addressed the comment on Twitter the following morning, Acuna replied to the post saying,

“If it were me, they would take me out of the game.”

The tweet was deleted shortly after, but it had already gone viral.

Acuna said he was frustrated about his situation, still having to recover and unable to be there for the team.

He emphasized his pride in being a member of the Braves and said there is no tension between him and his teammates.

Social Media Users Urged To Fire Brian Snitker From The Atlanta Braves

Brian Snitker was appointed Atlanta Braves manager in May 2016 after then-manager Fredi Gonzalez was fired following a disastrous 9-28 start.

However, following the Atlanta Braves’ recent 5-4 loss to Washington, social media users have urged Brian Snitker to be fired. One user wrote,

Braves Manager Brian Snitker Almost Quit Due To Bad Relationship With John Coppolella

Earlier in 2018, Mark Bowman presented a report about Braves manager Brian Snitker.

Bowman described Brian as seriously considering quitting his job as a manager because he didn’t get along well with then-GM John Coppolella.

A little over a year ago, John criticized Brian for leaving Matt Kemp to pinch-hit instead of bringing in Matt Adams after the Marlins called on right-handed reliever Brad Ziegler.

According to Bowman, during the final series of the 2017 regular season in Florida, Snitker said he would leave and never come back. He said,

“Pack my things, I’m not coming back.”

However, John resigned for his role in the Braves’ signing rule violations investigation. Then, Snitker stayed on board and developed a food relationship with new GM Alex Anthopoulos.
