Both Brandii and James, parents of Asterisk Talley, are actively involved in Asterisk’s golfing journey, attending her tournaments and providing support.
Born and raised in Chowchilla, California, Asterisk Talley is best known for her extraordinary talent in golf.
Recently, at just 16 years old, she made history by becoming the youngest player to ever compete in the U.S. Women’s Open.
But beyond her impressive skills on the green, Asterisk’s success can be attributed to the incredible support she receives from her parents, who have been her rock throughout her journey.
Asterisk Talley’s Parents, Brandii And James, Are The Pillars of Her Success!
Asterisk credits much of her success to the support and encouragement she has received from her parents, Brandii Talley and James Talley.
Brandii Talley, Asterisk’s mother, has played an integral role in fostering her daughter’s love for golf.
She is of Greek descent, and this heritage inspired Asterisk’s distinctive name.
Moreover, she has been Asterisk’s biggest cheerleader, attending her tournaments, providing emotional support, and promoting her daughter’s accomplishments.
Brandii’s background in sports management has been vital in helping Asterisk navigate the competitive world of golf.
In one of the interviews, Brandii shared:
“I’m proud of Asterisk’s accomplishments, but it’s her determination and love for the game that truly sets her apart. Our family has always supported Asterisk’s dreams, and we’ll continue to be there for her every step of the way.”
James Talley, Asterisk’s father, has also been a pivotal figure in her journey.
He is a former graphic designer and currently serves as a corrections officer with the California Department of Corrections.
A former professional golfer, James was the one who introduced Asterisk to the sport when she was just a child, often taking her to the course after his night shifts.
He has been her coach and mentor, providing her with valuable insights into the game and pushing her to improve continually.
Once James said:
“Seeing Asterisk on the course, competing at the highest level, makes me incredibly proud. Golf is a mental game, and I’ve always focused on teaching her how to stay focused and calm under pressure.”
Together, Brandii and James have created an environment that has allowed Asterisk to thrive.
Their shared commitment to her success, both on and off the course, has shaped Asterisk into the driven and accomplished young golfer she is today.
