Antonio Brown Taunts Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift Via His X Account Amid Backlash From Fans

This article was last updated by on

Antonio Tavaris Brown Sr. has recently been in the news for making offensive posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) about Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

He is a former NFL wide receiver known for his time with the Pittsburgh Steelers, among other teams.

Often referred to as AB, he is widely regarded as one of the best receivers of the 2010s.

Born on July 10, 1988, he played college football at Central Michigan University. In 2008 and 2009, he earned All-American honors.

He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft and played with them until 2018.

Despite his on-field fame, his career has been marked by controversies, off-field issues, and legal issues.

Antonio Brown Stirs Controversy With Post About Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift On X

Antonio Brown has been known for his unpredictable behavior and outspoken nature on social media.

Recently, on September 29, 2024, he made a controversial post on X mentioning Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

In his post, he made a vulgar and offensive comment, which was seen as racially charged and misogynistic.

As of writing, his post has over 442 comments from the public and received overwhelmingly negative reactions.

Many people have criticized him for his disrespectful and unnecessary comments.

Some have pointed out Brown’s troubled past and suggested that he is trying to gain attention by making such statements.

One of the commenters said:

“He’s the goat and a hofer. All you’ll be known for is when they analyze your brain for studies on cte research.”

This has led to backlash from both Kelce and Swift fans, particularly from Swift’s dedicated fanbase, the “Swifties.” They expressed their outrage and defended the couple.

His recent post about Taylor is not the first time he has mentioned her.

Earlier this year, 2024, he faced backlash for posting an AI-generated photo of himself with Taylor Swift.

The image reflected him, dressed in his Pittsburgh Steelers jersey, kissing someone who looked like Taylor Swift as a cheerleader. However, in that post, he did not specifically mention Travis Kelc.

He shared this image on his X account with the caption,

” Move over Jizelle, what these Swifties talkin bout? #CTESPIN.

He intentionally used the hashtag “#CTESPIN” as a punchline for Gisele Bundchen.

Moreover, some mentioned his intention to use a misspelled hashtag, which seems to indicate a conflict between player safety and the value of sports.

His wording “CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) with ESPN highlights the serious issue of CTE while criticizing how sports media like ESPN cover issues.

However, he appears to have deleted the controversial post from his X account. He might have deleted it due to the overreaction from the public and Swifties.

Travis Expressed Admiration for Antonio Brown On His Podcast

During an episode of his podcast, “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce,” Travis mentioned that Antonio Brown is one of his favorite social media personalities.

This came after Antonio Brown complimented Travis on Twitter, calling him “the dopest cracker” he knows.

Travis appreciated and acknowledged the compliment on his podcast, saying he loves following Antonio Brown on social media.

After a significant game, Kelce responded by saying:

“Hey man, I appreciate you AB, it feels good to be one of the dopest crackers man. I love that s**t man. He’s one of my favorite follows on Twitter, you gotta follow him”

This shows that despite the controversies, Kelce has had positive things to say about Brown.

However, since retiring from the NFL, Antonio Brown has been very active on Twitter, with many of his tweets going viral and controversial.

In Case You Didn’t Know

  • Last year, he was banned from using Snapchat after posting an NSFW picture.
  • He is a father of six kids: 4 sons and 2 daughters with different partners.
  • Brown was born to parents Eddie and Adrianne Moss and cousin of wide receiver Marquise Brown, a Kansas City Chief.
