The 15-year-old golf prodigy from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Miles Russell, acknowledges his parents, Joe and Kelli Russell, for all the sacrifices they’ve made to help in his athletic career.
The budding golf player, Miles Russell, is making waves in the golfing world. His impressive achievements at such a young age include a debut at the Korn Ferry Tour and a PGA Tour appearance.
And behind all these milestones, Miles Russell had his parents back.
Miles’s love and passion for golf began at an early age, i.e., at the age of two, all thanks to his father, Joe, and his grandfather, Ron Hipp, who introduced him to the game.
His father Joe’s part in his life has been particularly influential. He gave his all to help him in all ways. Joe took Miles to the golf course and encouraged him to practice.
According to Joe, although he ignited Miles’s love for the game, he didn’t push him to play the sport. It was Miles who showed an interest in golf early on.
Miles often stayed with his father while watching Golf Central, rather than watching cartoons. His father, Joe, said:
I never had to push him into it. He’s played other sports like T-ball and travel soccer, but golf is going to be the sport he sticks with.
Likewise, his mother, Kelli Russell, has also played a vital role in his golfing journey.
